Navigat Energy – ASA Foundation

Navigat Energy CSR Health & Life Skills in joint venture with ASA Foundation did a CSR event in Sorong, Papua, Indonesia in the beginning of the year. Through the Grass Roots and Professional Soccer Academy Sorong program they will soon unveil Youth Elite squads.

This programme’s purpose is to scout talents in the easternmost region of the country as well as to share the knowledge of health and life skills. The on-­‐going program consists of 3 phases that started on the 14th of January 2014.

MAXpower develops a CSR project in Sorong Papua

ASA foundation and MAXpower Group have partnered to develop “Life Skills through Grass Roots Soccer Development”, a CSR project involving local sports trainers and school teachers and children across Sorong, West Papua. 20 local adults and more than 2,000 youth will participate in this long-term project, which will run for 12+ months.

The ASA Foundation has spent the past 12 years working closely with International donors including the British Council, UNICEF, US Embassy and USAID together with British Premier Soccer Clubs such as Liverpool FC, Manchester United FC Community Scouting & Coaching Teams and Portsmouth FC, to deliver education programs combined with grass roots team sports coaching, such as Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball, to empower over 1 million people across Indonesia.

ASA Foundation’s Mission: Empowering and motivating people through education and sports training programs such as interactive classroom workshops, grass roots sports coaching clinics, training of trainers (ToT) seminars and tournaments.

ASA Foundation Vision: Using sports development programs as a pedagogical tool to create awareness while providing lasting benefits in areas such as education, health, athletic development and regeneration of schools and communities.

We are proud to be one of the supporting partners of Young Leaders for Indonesia, a program which aims to bring a greater future to Indonesia’s next generations.

Young Leaders for Indonesia is an annual series of intensive workshops for high-performing individuals with the aspiration of ‘Unleashing Indonesia,’ of helping the nation to achieve its economic and human potential. Since its launch in 2008, the foundation has been reaching out to the country’s most talented youth and breeding them not only to become better leaders but also to inspire more people in the process.

MAXpower is the exclusive sponsor of the Navigat International Cup. Last year’s event was held on the 11 – 12 May 2013 at Jakarta International School . The event was organized by Asian Soccer Academy (ASA). MAXpower committed to support this event in years to come.

MAXpower builds medical centre for infants and expectant mothers

To support the local community in Merah Mata in the Banyuasin province, South Sumatra, near MAXpower’s Borang plant, we have built and run a medical centre for the provision of care to infants and expectant mothers. In the centre, a “Posyandu”, young children and expectant mothers receive health services such as immunization and pre-natal care. Construction was completed on 20 May 20 2013 and is fully operational.
