Signing of the 150 MW Gas-Fired Power Plant Amendment Agreement in Batam between Maxpower Indonesia and PLN Batam

[Jakarta, January 13, 2025] – On Friday, January 10, 2025, PT Maxpower Indonesia proudly announced the signing of the Amendment to the Rental Agreement for the 150 MW Gas-Fired Power Plant (PLTMG) in Batam was signed between PT Maxpower Indonesia and PT PLN Batam (“Amendment”). This Amendment marks a significant step in reinforcing the commitment of both parties to enhance power plant capacity, ensuring a more reliable and efficient energy supply for the Batam region.

As part of the amendment, Maxpower Indonesia will build additional PTLMG with a capacity of 100 MW, distributed across two locations: 60 MW in Sagulung and 40 MW in Sekupang. With this additional capacity, the total power generation capacity to be managed by Maxpower Indonesia will reach 150 MW.

The cooperation to transfer the management and maintenance of the power plants to PT PLN Batam is valid for four years for each location and shall be extended for minimum of one year at the end of the contract period. This step has been taken to ensure that Batam has adequate power capacity to support the growth of industrial sector and the rapidly developing digital infrastructure in the region.
